  • 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey or mixture of two
  • 1 large jar Pace picante sauce (mild or hot)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 to 8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers
  • 6 to 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg. flour tortillas
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix or enchilada mix
  • sliced black olives
  • chopped bell pepper

Directions

    Brown meat and onion; drain.

    Add seasoning mix and 1/3 jar picante sauce.

    Grate Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses.

    In a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer tortillas, meat mixture, grated cheeses and picante sauce.

    Top with cheeses and garnish with sliced olives and chopped bell pepper.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
