  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 3/4 head lettuce, chopped
  • 3 cans Old El Paso enchilada sauce
  • 1 block mild Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 doz. corn tortillas (Fontoya)
  • 1 onion

Directions

    Salt bottom of frypan.

    Brown hamburger and drain all grease. Heat 1/2-inch cooking oil until it sizzles.

    Drop corn tortillas, one at a time, into oil (approximately 6 seconds on each side). With tongs, shake off excess oil and place on paper towel to drain excess oil off.
