  • 1 lb. real butter (not margarine)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/4 tsp. oil
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

    Combine butter and sugar.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture comes to a full boil.

    After boiling begins, try not to stir unless it starts to burn.

    When temperature gets around 290°, turn heat down to medium-low.

    Boil until it reaches 306°.
