Festive Fruit Compote

- 1 can (17 oz.) pear halves
- 1 can (30 oz.) apricot halves
- 1 can (17 oz.) purple plums, drained
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
Directions

1Drain pears, reserving 1/2 c. syrup.

2Drain apricot syrup into large sauce pan; add pear syrup.

3Stir in sugar, lemon peel, juice and cinnamon stick.

4Bring to a boil; simmer gently for 5 mintues. Add pears, apricots and plums; heat throughly.

5Serve compote warm or chilled.

6Serves 8.
