  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 cup oil or 1 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup chopped fig
  • 12 cup chopped pecans (optional) or 12 cup raisins (optional)

Directions

    Sift all dry ingredients together.

    Add oil or the butter mix well.

    Add vanilla and buttermilk mix well.

    Add figs and the optional ingredients (if desired).

    Do Not Grease Pan 9x12.
