  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. fig preserves
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. each: cloves, vanilla and soda
  • 3 eggs

    Mix all dry ingredients.

    Add cooking oil.

    Beat well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, alternating with milk.

    Add figs and vanilla. Bake at 350° in a Bundt pan for about 1 hour.

    Grease and flour pan.
