- 7 c. sugar
- 4 c. water
- 4 1/2 lb. figs
- 1/4 c. soda
Directions

1Put figs in pan with the soda.

2Cover figs with boiling water. Let stand for 5 minutes.

3Pour off soda water and rinse with cold water several times.

4Boil sugar and water; add figs and cook until figs are transparent.

5Place in sterilized jars and seal.
