  • raw potatoes
  • raw ground beef
  • onions
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • green pepper (optional)

Directions

    Butter a deep baking dish, then starting at the bottom, put the ingredients into it in the following order: potatoes, ground beef, sliced onions, green pepper (if used), uncooked rice and tomatoes. Season each layer. Cover and bake 2 hours at 300°.
