- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- green pepper (optional)
Directions

1Butter a deep baking dish, then starting at the bottom, put the ingredients into it in the following order: potatoes, ground beef, sliced onions, green pepper (if used), uncooked rice and tomatoes. Season each layer. Cover and bake 2 hours at 300°.
