- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. cooked rice
- grated cheese (optional)
Directions

1Brown beef and onion in skillet; drain.

2Add tomatoes, soup and spices.

3Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

4Stir in rice. Pour into casserole dish (9 x 13-inch works well).

5Bake at 350° until hot.

6Top with cheese and return to oven until cheese melts and browns a little.
