Floating Island Punch

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemon juice
  • 3 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
  • 1 qt. sparkling water or white grape juice
  • 1 (4 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries and juice
  • 1 pt. lemon or orange sherbet
  • 1 qt. ginger ale
  • 1 c. water
  • ice cubes
  • 1 orange, sliced thin

Directions

    Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves; cool.

    Combine fruit juices, ginger ale, sparkling water and fruit.

    Add syrup; pour into punch bowl.

    Add ice cubes.

    Drop in sherbet by spoonful or in balls, using an ice cream dipper.
