Ingredients
- 3 lb. fryer
- 6 c. cooked cornbread, crumbled
- 4 c. toasted loaf bread, cubed
- 1 c. diced onion
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
- 4 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Boil fryer in water to cover until tender-done.

2Remove chicken and set broth aside to cool.

3Debone chicken and chop.

4Saute onion and celery in a small amount of butter or cook in some of the chicken broth.

5Put cornbread, loaf bread, onion, celery, seasonings, eggs and chicken in large bowl.

6Pour broth over ingredients.

7Do not stir until dressing is cool.

8After it is cooled, blend together and pour into a Pyrex dish.

9Bake at 450° until brown.

10Use giblets and remaining broth for gravy.
