  • 2 yellow cake layers
  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • pink or red food coloring
  • 1 bag Skittles Smoothie Mix candies

Directions

    Bake cake according to recipe or label directions in two 8- or 9-inch pans; let cool completely.

    Stir frosting in medium bowl to soften.

    Add a few drops of food coloring; stir well to incorporate.

    Add additional drops if needed to reach desired color.

    Place a cake layer on a serving platter.

    Spread about 1/2 cup frosting on cake.

    Top with second cake layer.

    Cover top and sides of cake with remaining frosting.

    To make flowers, place a Skittle on the cake.

    Surround the Skittle with 6 more, in a color that is different from the center one.

    Cover the cake as desired with Skittle flowers.
