- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

2Add butter and shortening.

3Cut into flour until thoroughly mixed together.

4Beat eggs in large bowl.

5Add milk, then stir in flour mixture.

6Mix to a good consistency.

7Knead as little as possible.
-
8Pat out on floured board and cut thick.

9Put on baking pan. Bake in a hot oven at 450° for 15 to 17 minutes.

10Makes two dozen.
