- 1 lb American cheese
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/2 c sifted flour
- 1 egg
- 1 c fine crumbs
- Crisco for deep frying
Directions

1Cut cheese into 1/2 to 1 inch cubes.

2Dip in milk and then flour.

3Roll the cubes in egg and then in fine crumbs.

4Fry cheese bits in deep Crisco heated to about 365° (or when an inch cube of bread browns in 60 seconds).

5Fry about one minute, or until as brown as desired.

6Drain on absorbent paper and serve very hot.
