- 3 to 4 lb. 7-bone chuck roast or boneless chuck roast
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 1/4 cup water (add more for larger roast)
- 1 tsp. thyme
- Salt, pepper and garlic powder
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except the roast and seasonings.

2Brown the roast after seasoning with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour soup-wine-water-thyme

3mixture over the roast. Cook covered for 3 hours at 325°. Serve with rice or baked potato.
