  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 to 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 slices day old bread
  • Wesson oil for frying
  • cinnamon and sugar

Directions

    Combine eggs, milk, salt and sugar. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in 10-inch frypan.

    Dip bread, one slice at a time, in egg mixture.

    Then fry in oil over low heat.
  4. 4
    When brown on one side, turn and brown other side.
  5. 5
    When done, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

    Serve with syrup or jelly.

    Makes 8 servings.
