  • 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 c. chopped apples (McIntosh or Winesap)

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream the oil, sugar and eggs.
  2. 2
    To creamed mixture, add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon sifted together.
  3. 3
    Mix well and add apples, nuts and vanilla.
  4. 4
    Grease and line with wax paper in a tube pan. Cook in a 325° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Can top with Caramel Icing or plain.
