Ingredients: 1 1/2 c. salad oil; 2 c. sugar; 3 eggs; 3 c. plain flour; 1 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. salt; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. nutmeg; 3 c. diced, peeled apples (approximately 3); 1 c. diced dates; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 c. nuts

2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. diced, peeled apples (approximately 3)
1 c. diced dates
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Mix sugar and oil with electric mixer.

Beat at high speed for 4 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time, beating each one for 1 minute. Mix dry ingredients together and dates.

Add to mixture.

Fold in vanilla, apples and nuts.

Pour into tube cake pan.

Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
