  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped raw apples
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Prepare raw apples which have been peeled and chopped fine. Sift dry ingredients together; set aside. Beat eggs well; add sugar and salad oil. Cream together. Add dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Fold in chopped apples and nuts. (If this is too thick, add a little milk.) Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.
