- 2 (8-inch) frozen pie crusts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- dash of salt
- 5 c. thinly sliced apples (about 5 medium)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Have pie crust ready.

3Mix flour, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.

4Stir in apples.

5Turn into pie crust. Dot with butter.

6Cover with top crust that has slits cut in it. Seal.

7Cover edge with 3-inch strips aluminum foil.

8Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking.

9Bake until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust, 40 to 50 minutes.
