  • pie shell and top, unbaked
  • 6 very large peaches
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • mace
  • salt
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

    Wash peaches; peel and slice.

    Pour a little milk over the slices to prevent fruit from darkening.

    Then add sugar, flour, lemon juice, spices and butter.

    Bake in shell with lattice top in 400° oven one hour.
