Fresh Pear Nut Cake

- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. oil
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 c. thinly sliced pears or apples
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Combine sugar, eggs and oil.

2Beat well.

3Combine flour, soda and salt.

4Add to sugar mixture, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, pears and nuts. Spoon batter into well greased 10-inch Bundt pan or tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

6Powdered sugar glaze if desired. Remove cake from pan when cool and glaze.
