  • 6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and seeded
  • 6 T butter or margarine
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • dash salt
  • 1/3 c brown sugar

Directions

    Slice apples into 1/2 inch thick slices. Melt butter in large skillet and add apples.

    Sprinkle sugar and seasonings over apples.

    Cook over medium heat until apples are tender but not mushy. stirring frequently.

    Apples will brown slightly.

    Serve while still warm.

    Excellent with ham or pork.
