- 8 full ears fresh corn
- 3/4 c. bacon fat or 1 stick oleo
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. salt or to taste
- 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper or to taste
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Cut the corn from the cob by making 2 cuts per grain, then scrape the cob.

2You will obtain a consistency of cream-style corn.

3Heat slightly, a frying pan with oil.

4Mix water and corn; place mixture in frying pan.

5Add cornmeal, sugar, salt and pepper.

6Stir to mix well.
-
7Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, to prevent sticking.

8Cook until corn is tender.
-
9Add more water if necessary.
