- 2 to 3 lb. deer meat
- garlic salt
- flour
- shortening
Directions

1Cut meat into small pieces, no larger than 3-inches in diameter.

2Using sharp knife, cut across each piece approximately 1/16-inch from left to right, then from top to bottom.

3Repeat on other side of piece.

4Avoid cutting through meat.

5This process tenderizes the meat.

6Meat will look like a waffle.

7Sprinkle garlic salt liberally on meat.

8Roll meat in flour and lay in skillet with warm grease.

9Increase heat gradually but do not fry too fast.

10Remove meat when thoroughly browned on both sides. Drain on paper.
