- 3 Green Tomatoes
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cups Buttermilk
- 1/2 cups Corn Meal
- 1/4 cups Panko Bread Crumbs Or Flour
- 2 teaspoons Lawry's Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Pepper
- Canola Oil, For Frying
- Lemon Wedges, To Serve

1Slice tomatoes no more than 1/2 inch thick.

2Whisk egg and buttermilk together in a bowl.

3Combine corn meal, bread crumbs, salt and pepper on a plate.

4Dip tomatoes in milk and then dredge in the bread crumb mixture.

5In a large skillet (either inside or try the grill), pour canola oil and heat over medium.

6Place tomatoes into the frying pan and brown on both sides.

7Drain on a paper towel and serve warm with a lemon wedge.
