- 1 qt. select oysters
- 1 c. water
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. water
- buttered bread crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Carefully look over oysters and remove any shell fragments. Pour 1 cup of water over oysters and drain.

2Pat dry with paper towel.

3Beat egg and add 2 tablespoons of water.

4Combine bread crumbs with salt and pepper.

5Dip oysters in egg mixture, then in seasoned crumbs.

6Repeat.

7Fry in deep fat at 375° to 385° for 30 to 40 minutes.

8Serves 2 to 4.
