- 4 medium tomatoes
- fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Wash and dry the tomatoes; slice crosswise to make 3 thick pieces.

2Dust with salt, pepper and a little sugar; roll in fine dry bread crumbs.

3Beat the egg.

4Add the milk.

5Dip the slices in this; dip again in crumbs.

6Deep fry in Mazola, hot enough to brown a piece of bread in 1 minute (350°).

7Drain on crumbled paper; serve plain or with toast with white sauce.
