Frosty Fruit Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. crushed pineapple, applesauce, apple juice, orange juice, grape juice, prune juice, apricot nectar or pineapple juice
  • 1 pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
  • 3/4 to 1 c. sugar (depending on sweetness of fruit)
  • 1 c. chilled evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • whipped cream

Directions

    Bring first ingredient to boil, then stir in gelatin until dissolved.

    Mix in sugar.

    Cool until almost stiff.

    Whip chilled evaporated milk with lemon juice until stiff.

    Pour on top of gelatin mixture.

    Beat in slowly with rotary beater at low speed. Pour into cooled pie shell.

    Chill several hours until firm. Splash with whipped cream.
