- 1 lb. candied fruit
- 1 c. each light and dark raisins
- 1/2 c. dates
- 1 c. nuts
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. soft margarine
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 c. wine
- 1/4 c. applesauce
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/4 tsp. each allspice and cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Sprinkle 1/2 cup flour over nuts and fruit and set aside.

2Mix sugars, margarine and cream.

3Add eggs and mix.

4Add wine and applesauce and mix.

5Add flour and spices.

6Mix and then add nuts and fruit.

7Bake at 275° for about 1 hour or so.

8Grease and flour bread pan.
