- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- berries or other fruit
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Mix the first 6 ingredients.

2Spread in greased 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan.

3Spread berries or other fruit over batter. Sprinkle 1 cup of sugar over fresh fruit (less if fruit is pre-sweetened).

4Pour 1 cup boiling water over all.

5Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes.
