  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail (including juice)
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk

Directions

    Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar with eggs. Add salt, flour and baking soda. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and fruit cocktail. Beat until fruit cocktail is in small pieces. Put batter in 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix together brown sugar, nuts and coconut. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
