  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1-1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Fruit Cocktail With Juice
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 sticks Butter
  • 1/2 cups Evaporated Milk

    In a mixing bowl mix flour, 1-1/2 cups sugar, baking soda, fruit cocktail with the juice, salt, beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix well by hand. No need for a mixer. Pour into a greased cake pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

    For icing:

    In a saucepan bring 3/4 cup sugar, butter and milk to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes. Spread on cake while it is still hot.
