  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (3 oz.) box any flavor gelatin
  • 3/4 c. shortening (can use part butter, if desired)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix sugar and gelatin together.
  2. 2
    Add shortening and eggs; blend well.
  3. 3
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add to mixture. Roll out 1/4-inch thick on a floured board.

    Cut out with 3-inch cookie cutter.
  5. 5
    Place on greased baking sheet and bake for 6 to 8 minutes at 375°.

    Makes around 4 dozen cookies.
