- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. each soda and salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. allspice
- dash of nutmeg
- 2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 c. (16 oz.) chopped mixed candied fruits
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.

2Beat in eggs. Combine milk and lemon juice. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Reserve 1/2 cup flour.

3Sift remaining flour with soda, salt and spices. Stir into creamed mixture.

4Mix reserved flour with fruits and pecans.

5Blend into dough.

6Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
