- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 1 1/2 c. eggnog
- 1/4 c. rum
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 c. mixed candied fruit
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

3In large bowl with spoon, mix well the first 5 ingredients.

4Stir in eggnog, butter or margarine, egg and rum just until flour is moistened.

5Mixture will be lumpy.

6Fold in pecans or walnuts and fruits.

7Spread mixture in pan.

8Bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

9Cool bread on wire rack 10 minutes.

10Wrap and freeze.

11Thaw room temperature.
