  • 1/2 c. dried prunes
  • 1/2 c. dried apricots
  • 1/2 c. currants
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 apple, pared and diced
  • 1 orange, cut in half
  • 1 c. any unsweetened fruit juice
  • 1/2 c. dried pears
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. sago or tapioca

Directions

    Soak the dried fruits in the hot water at least 6 hours.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Simmer over low heat 1 hour.

    Stir often to prevent scorching.
