Ingredients

  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted slowly in saucepan
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • dash of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Karo syrup or molasses
  • 2 c. sugar

Directions

    Bring to a rolling boil until soft ball forms in cold water (10 to 12 minutes).

    Do not overcook.

    Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine.

    Stir until creamy smooth (approximately 1 minute).

    Pour into buttered plate.
