- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
- 4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

3Melt the butter and chocolate together over low heat.

4Stir in the sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5Add the vanilla and the nuts.

6In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

7Stir this into the chocolate mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
