  • 1 c. oleo
  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. instant oats
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. condensed milk
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. nuts

    Cream oleo and brown sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well and add oats. Set aside. In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips, condensed milk, oleo and salt. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread 2/3 dough in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover with chocolate mixture. Swirl rest of dough on top of chocolate filling. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Let cool. Cut and place on rack. Freezes well.
