  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • dash of salt
  • 1/3 c. sifted flour
  • 2 sq. unsweetened melted chocolate
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions

    Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla; blend well.

    Add melted chocolate mixture.

    Add walnuts.

    Turn into pie shell.

    Bake in hot, 375°, oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until puffed across top.

    Cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream, or with whipped cream or topping.
