   Cream butter and sugar together.

   Blend in egg.

   Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture.

   Add vanilla and stir until mixture is blended.

   Chill dough 1 to 2 hours.

   Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness.

   Cut into shapes.

   Decorate using M&M's, raisins, red hots.

   Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
