- 1/2 c. quick cooking grits
- 2 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Directions

1Mix grits, water and salt.

2Cook until done; set aside and cool.

3Melt oleo and cheese.

4Add to cooked grits, with egg, milk and garlic powder.

5Put in greased casserole dish.

6Sprinkle 1/2 cup cornflakes on top.

7Bake 35 minutes at 350°.

8Excellent with ham.
