- 50 Kraft caramels
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate or regular chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. melted margarine
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

2Combine cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

3Spread 1/2 of cake mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

5Drizzle caramel mixture over baked cake.

6If you're going to add nuts, add to remaining cake.

7Top the caramel mixture with remaining cake mixture.

8Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350°. Cool; then cut into bars.

9Enjoy.
