- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/4 lb. German chocolate bar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. buttermilk
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Cream sugar, butter and egg yellows.

2Add melted chocolate. Mix soda in milk.

3Then add milk and flour.

4Beat well.

5Add vanilla, salt and egg whites.

6Pour into three 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° until done.
