- 4 oz. Baker's chocolate
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
- 4 egg whites
Directions

1Melt chocolate in boiling water; cool.

2Combine flour, baking soda and salt.

3Cream margarine and sugar.

4Add egg yolks; beat thoroughly.

5Blend in vanilla and chocolate mixture.

6To dry ingredients, add alternately the chocolate mixture and buttermilk, beating after each addition.

7Fold in beaten egg whites.

8Pour into a greased tube pan.

9Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.

10Let cool in pan 15 minutes.
