German Chocolate Pie

  • 1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate
  • 1 2/3 c. canned milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter over low heat.

    Gradually blend in milk.

    Add to sugar mixture.

    Add eggs, vanilla, coconut and nuts. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375°.

    It will be puffed and brown. Filling may be soft, but will set while cooling.

    Cool at least 4 hours before cutting.
