German Stuffed Cabbage

- 1 large head cabbage
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. onions, chopped
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Steam cabbage until leaves are easily removed.

2Mix ground beef, bread crumbs and onions with salt and pepper. Set aside. Peel leaves and line inside of steamer basket with the leaves, bottom and sides.

3Put thin layer of meat mixture on bottom. Cover with thick layer of leaves.

4Add meat and cabbage leaves until all is used up.

5Put a little water in bottom of steamer. Add the basket and cover.

6Boil for about 2 hours.

7Pull out steamer basket and flip stuffed cabbage onto a plate.

8Slice as if slicing a cake.

9Serve with Hollandaise Sauce and mashed potatoes.
