  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger

Directions

    Mix Crisco, salt, ginger and molasses with a little flour. Add the soda dissolved in water and the rest of the flour, then work all together.

    Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut with a plain cutter.

    Bake on greased pans about 1-inch apart in an oven at a temperature of 375°.
