  • 2 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • about 8 c. flour

    Bring molasses and Crisco to boil.

    When cool, add remaining ingredients.

    Mix and refrigerate about 1 hour, roll out.

    Cut, then bake.

    The less you handle the dough and less flour, the nicer they are.

    Sprinkle sugar over before baking.
